PRESIDENT'S Corner

Hi everyone!

As a long time resident, at the corner of Broadview and English Oak by the park (we are the two-story), I’m happy to be back as a member of the Board of The Meadows HOA! When first volunteered my time, I was in charge of our quarterly (paper!) newsletter.  I would walk around the subdivision with our oldest in the Little Tykes wagon, and hand deliver the newsletter to our neighbors.  Heads up…I’m old, and the internet and websites weren’t what they are today! 😂

So here we are…from 2001 to 2024…we communicate and connect differently now than we did before.  COVID changed outlooks, and we are navigating how to reach out to each other and “re”-connect.

We have some exciting things coming up to our most ‘common’ area…mainly, the park!

    1.    We have replaced the play structure, added new mulch, and boundary areas.

    2.    Our bench area will be updated/improved.

    3.    The sweet and lovely Book library (have a book? Take a book!) is getting a facelift.

    4.    The addition of new signage, just below the book library at the park entrance, will serve as a reminder for a few things to maintain our subdivision standards.

Our reveal and celebration of updates will be held on June 1st, from 1-2:30 pm.  Thank you to the Social Committee members for what you have planned! 💕

As we move into nicer weather, PLEASE:

~STOP at our stop signs! *Especially* if you are moving from our sub out onto main roads!

~Slow down! : we have so many young kids in the sub learning to ride bikes.  They are closer to the ground, so please take your time leaving your driveways and take that extra look around.

~Clean up your stuff: this includes, but is not limited to:

**picking up after your dog—it’s not okay to leave your dog’s stuff in someone else’s yard…even if you leave it in a bag. Pick it up and take it away. Thanks!

**Should your home happen to be near a sewage drain, we kindly ask that you keep that area free of debris.

FINALLY!

If you have questions or concerns, please reach out, so we can meet at the park.
